At Sunrise Wetaskiwin Daycare & Out of School Care, we provide quality childcare for children ages 0–12. Our educators plan intentional activities that support each child's physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language development — building a strong foundation from the very earliest years.
Our Educators
All of our educators are certified in First Aid and CPR. We invest in their growth through regular workshops and ongoing training so they can deliver the highest quality of care and education to every child and family we serve.
Family Relationships
We view our centre as a true extension of each child's family. We work closely with parents to ensure the love and support children receive at home is reflected in everything we do here — because consistency between home and daycare is one of the most powerful tools for healthy development.
Sunrise Wetaskiwin Daycare & Out of School Care values and respects that all children have the right to quality care. Children and families from all races, religions, and cultural backgrounds are warmly welcomed. We create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children come to learn, grow, and thrive.
Our Educators
Our educators are carefully selected for both their qualifications and their compassion. All staff hold First Aid and CPR certification and engage in continuous professional development, ensuring that every family we serve receives the highest standard of care — with warmth and respect at the heart of everything we do.
Family Relationships
We know that trust is built over time. That's why we maintain open, transparent communication with every family — keeping parents informed, heard, and involved so they always feel confident that their child is in a place where they truly belong.
A healthy environment is the foundation of great learning. Our thoughtfully designed rooms and programs are each tailored to specific age groups and developmental stages, offering activities that build physical strength, creative thinking, emotional intelligence, and intellectual curiosity in a structured yet playful setting.
Our Educators
Our educators go beyond following a curriculum — they truly know each child in their care. By observing and tracking individual progress, they adapt activities to meet each child exactly where they are, helping them take their next developmental steps with confidence and at their own pace.
Family Relationships
Learning doesn't stop when your child walks out the door. We provide regular updates on your child's progress and milestones, sharing what they are working on so families can reinforce and celebrate those same skills and achievements at home.
Play is how children make sense of the world around them. We offer open-ended activities that encourage children to discover, experiment, and solve problems on their own terms — fostering independence, resilience, and creative confidence. We embrace every developmental level and ability, ensuring every child has the space to learn in the way that works best for them.
Our Educators
Our educators act as guides rather than directors — stepping back to let curiosity lead, while creating the right conditions for meaningful discovery. They design experiences that challenge children to think critically, ask questions, and explore ideas with imagination and confidence.
Family Relationships
We share the exciting moments of discovery with families every day — whether it's a first puzzle solved, a new friendship formed, or a creative idea that surprised even us. These shared celebrations strengthen the bond between home and centre and remind families that every small step is worth cheering for.
